QS-FOUR-ISO
4-Channel Class D Plug+Play Nano Digital Amplifier
Following the resounding success of the sensationally small 2-channel QS-TWO amplifier (only 90 x 35 x 70 mm), ESX set out to develop an equally small but powerful 4-channel version. With the brand-new QS-FOUR, this ambition has now become a reality: The ultra-compact 4-channel amplifier is available immediately – and only 10 mm wider than the 2-channel model. Delivering an impressive 4 x 60 watts RMS in a mere 90 x 35 x 80 mm, it sets new standards in the field of nano-amplifiers.
Many are asking: Why so small? The answer is simple: Mini amplifiers can be installed directly in the dashboard as plug-and-play ISO versions. Simply connect the cables – and your front and rear speakers are powered, including the power supply. The special feature: In vehicles with ISO connectors, everything is already prepared, so no additional power cable needs to be run. The QS-FOUR is perfectly suited for this. Thanks to its impressive efficiency of up to 90%, it only requires 5 to 10 amps of continuous current when playing music – a load that the factory power cables can easily handle.
Should you desire more bass, that's no problem either: The QS-FOUR has dedicated low-level outputs that can drive active subwoofers such as the Q168A, Q201A, or HZ800A.
Once connected, the QS-FOUR will amaze you. In most cases, the factory speakers are significantly better than you might think. Often, the problem lies with the built-in radios, which simply don't deliver enough power. If you want to listen to music at a higher volume, the speakers will distort. If you then assume it's the speakers' fault, you're mistaken. The perceived "scratching" sound usually comes from the radio's built-in amplifier, which is operating at its limit.
Under this full load, the amplifier distorts. This is known as "clipping." An additional amplifier always solves this problem. However, these are often quite large and require thick power cables to be connected to the battery. ESX developed the QS-FOUR specifically for this purpose, delivering up to 4 x 60 watts RMS – 4-6 times the power of conventional radio amplifiers. And all this with very low power consumption, minimal distortion, and state-of-the-art Class D technology.
